Review: HP Touchsmart TM2
Jul 23rd
I recently decided my laptop needed a bit of a refresh so went on hunt for something new. I currently have a self built gaming PC so was looking for a more functional laptop without really worrying about specs. I wasn’t looking for some over the top Alienware Laptop or anything, just something easy to use to check emails, browse Internet etc. I’d also taken to the idea of the iPad but wanted a less closed more advanced system. The answer in the end was pretty easy HP’s convertible Touchsmart TM2 laptop! So after a couple of months of playing, here’s my review…

Bad Company 2 Update
Apr 27th
Ok so DICE have released an update to Bad Company 2, which was automatically installed by steam a couple of nights ago. Incredibly it seems to fix nearly every gripe I had with the game. The server browser is massively improved, including working favorites, you now also get better search options for servers too. Alot of balancing has been done with the guns. Not that I had much of a problem with them in the first place.
Possible my favorite addition though is the color blindness option. Being very colour blind I was impressed to see a games company actually adapt their games for us!
I’m still struggling to enjoy BC2 as I have with the Call Of Duty series. I believe this is primarily down to the weapons not inflicting as much damage as they do in COD. Which for me is annoying, last night I thought I’d give sniping a try and was amazed at just how hard it is to pick out a player and shoot. Even when you do, get a lock on, your bullet either just goes no where or you hit someone but they just run off. Ok I currently have the lowest spec sniper rifle, but I can’t see why I’d want to play as a sniper if I can only get maybe 1 or two kills a game.
This may still be down to my not being used to the Battlefield series, so I guess I keep going!
Dream Phone. What would it be?
Apr 23rd
With rumours abound on what the next iPhone, Windows 7 Phone and Android devices are going to do. I thought I’d post on what I’d like to see in a device.
Dell to unleash Windows 7 Phone?
Apr 23rd
Rumours are abound over at Engadget.com where a report Dell leak has shown up some up and coming mobile handsets. The stand out one being the Lightning. A Win 7 Phone powered by a 1Ghz Snapgradon, 4.1 inch screen and a portrait qwerty sliding keyboard. If this phone is real and appears later in the year, we may just have finally found a phone to unseat the iPhone at the top of mobile charts!

UK iPad delayed
Apr 15th
Apple has announced a delay in the international launch of its much awaited iPad. Having sold over half a million units already, it looks like even Apple underestimated just how much people wanted their device, causing stores to sell out of current stock.
It looks like its May by the time we can get our hands on the large iPhone.
MSN Video Player to get Paramount Movies
Apr 15th
Miscosoft has announce they are teaming up with Paramount Pictures to show full length movies on its MSN Video Player service. Initially they will be available in the UK before appearing on MSN’s other European sites.
This is great news as film download sites have been very thing on the ground in the UK with only iTunes and Playstation Network currently offering services. (Although LoveFilm.com does offer a basic streaming service)
With franchises like Transformers, Indiana Jones and Star Trek, this could be a very lucrative deal for both companies.
Modern Warfare 2 vs Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Multiplayer Battle
Apr 13th
I’ve finally got around to buying Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and thought it would be a great chance to compare the two multiplayers. There has been alot of “discussion” on the Infinity Ward forums over parts of Modern Warfare’s multiplayer game not being up to scratch, or missing, in the case of dedicated servers. Before BC2 was released, alot of the forum members were actively telling people to forget MW2 and turn to the other side. So is BC2as great as was promised? Read on for my comparisons.

Opera Mini for iPhone Review
Apr 13th
In a strange twist, Apple has approved the Opera Mini web browser for the iPhone and its now available to download. Having used Opera on both the N95 and HTC Touch HD, I’m pleased to see it finally make an appearance on the iPhone, but with Safari being such a brilliant browser, is Opera actually worth it?
